TERM ONE MILESTONES
At My School ITALY we pride ourselves on our successful input and output results of Term One.
Nursery get active
Nursery have been involved in lots of active learning based around our various science topics. They have been drawing and colouring about their summer holidays and painting portraits of themselves. They have also been practising their letter and number formation and have been playing Maths and phonics games.
K1 back to letters and numbers
K1 have started writing with pencils in both Capitals and lower case. They can count on, count back, count up, count down and add numbers upto 10. In their grammar bag they have a collection of verbs and adjectives. Their cutting and pasting skills are well developed.
K2 memorise the Dolch Words
The pupils have begun to explore different numbers and have had a go at making numbers using different equipment. They were particularly excited when they began to learn joined up handwriting and they have written some beautiful cursive letters. Dolch words also called as Sight Words or tricky words or Jump out words are no more tricking our K2. Word families, CVV and CVCC words along with Sight Words have helped our K2 to read simple sentences.
But don’t just take our word for it – here is what some of our parents had to say about us.
